Meet William Hibbert and Samuel Baker, directors of Forest to Home
William and Samuel were both working on a country estate close to Bath, when the idea of Forest to Home was born. They are both passionate about bringing the beauty of handcrafted wood into our homes. At the same time, they care about sustaining our British forests, maintaining the beauty of our countryside and reducing damage to the eco-system.
Furniture ranging from coffee tables to dining tables, mirrors to wine racks, cheeseboards to shelving are handmade, unique pieces, incorporating the wood’s raw beauty: live edges, splits and knots (sadly, these are usually wasted in industrial furniture making).
A bespoke, handmade service called Projects, runs alongside Forest to Home’s premade ranges. William and Samuel are keen to discuss any customer’s vision for a unique refurbishment of their office, restaurant or home.
In 2016, Forest to Home launched their Forest Preservation Project. Their aims are: to only ever purchase wood from British sustainable sources and to plant trees into British soil for every whole tree that they buy.
