Vignamaggio Chianti Classico Terre di Prenzano is a dry red wine from Tuscany, Italy. It is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes and has 13.5% abv
Prenzano is the highest area within the historical core of the vineyard estate, with soils that
resemble the particularly sandy soil of the Lamole area. The average age of the vineyards is
approximately 20 years.
Made in-keeping with the traditional winemaking methods of the local area around Vignamaggio, this wine is intensely red, with a fresh and fruity bouquet. You will find notes of red fruits on the nose, which is typical of this Italian varietal. On the palate, experience lingering blueberry and prune with slight hints of vanilla. Overall, this is a well-structured wine with pleasant tannins and a balanced finish. Aged for about a year in oak barrels in Vignamaggio’s fifteenth century cellar, and finished in bottles for at least 3 months.
