Unique, spicy and dry white wine with rich apricot flavours.
ArmAs Voskehat is a medium bodied dry white wine from Aragatsotn Province, Armenia. It is 100% Voskehat with 13.5% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
ArmAs’ estate-grown vines are planted between 700-1,900m above sea level on mountainous, volcanic aspect. The altitude lends a long ripening period and allows the vines to flourish in 300 days of sunshine per year, balanced by cool summer nights. The vines are ungrafted, a rarity nowadays, and their roots delve deep into 30 layers of volcanic, limestone and clay composition. Voskehat, an indigenous variety, is lean and spicy. Fermented in stainless steel and lees-stirred for eight months, the wine is bursting with apricots over lime-like acidity and packs of aromatic herbs and spices. It is a unique, moreish style you won't forget.
You'll like this if you like... Middle Eastern flavours like Lebanese cuisine; imagine Gewurztraminer spice meets the fruitiness of Viognier and the acidity of Chenin Blanc.
Pairs beautifully with: Tabouleh salad, grilled lamb chops, meatballs in tahini sauce, aubergine and mushroom rice cake, or pork kebabs.
Cheese pairing: Ewe's milk cheese.
