Holdvölgy is located in the heart of the Tokaj wine region in Hungary's Mád basin. The estate is made up of 27 parcels of vines in seven different vineyards across the region. Their 1.8km cellar dates back to the 16th century, while the Holdvölgy winery is an incredibly modern one, headed by winemaker Tamas Gincsai. The two worlds of old and new - remembering that Tokaj itself is the world's oldest protected wine growing region - is a vision managed by founder Pascal Demko, who is adamant that the region's return to legend is achieved through patience, knowledge, principles and imagination. Therefore each wine is carefully handcrafted and released in limited volumes.
