Novel Wines helps Bristol-based charity FRANK Water to raise over £7000 for clean water projects in India

We helped FRANK Water raise over £7k for clean water projects!

On Wednesday 10 May, we joined the brilliant Bristol-based charity FRANK Water at the Thali Café in Bristol for their Karma Comedy fundraising evening.

The wonderful team at FRANK Water and the 80 guests who came along for the evening of food, comedy and wine managed to raise a superb £7,490 on the night. You can donate to FRANK Water directly here.

Novel Wines founder Ben Franks and Vin2o founder Chris Coles clubbed together to offer a wine tasting on arrival for the evening. We showcased the floral English white Denbies Juniper Hill 2014 and the smoky Indian red wine Sula Vineyards Dindori Reserve Shiraz 2015, as well as Chris' delicious pair of Vin2o wines: the Tintorera Garnacha 2015 and Verdejo Sauvignon 2016.

We also donated a case of premium English wines for the charity's raffle at the end of the evening, which was won by Mike from the local Bristol start-up Gleem. The case of English wines included the award-winning Bolney Estate Rosé and Lyme Bay Classic Cuvée amongst other wines from our UK-leading selection of English wine.

Local TV network Made in Bristol also came along for the event and interviewed FRANK's team about why their charity is doing such important work in India.

Nicole Squire, from FRANK Water, emailed Novel Wines to say: "Thank you so much for being there [Wednesday] night. It was great to have you involved and people seemed to thoroughly enjoy your wine. We raised a fantastic £7,490 from the event which is fantastic!"

We're extremely happy to have done a little bit to help this wonderful team achieve their results on Wednesday evening and we're keen to get stuck in and help out again! This wonderful charity is helping less fortunate people in India access clean water, a right every human should have.
