Lean and ripe volcanic white wine, full of minerality.
The grapes for this Hárslevelű come from 20-year-old, organically farmed vines grown in black, basalt-rich soils with clay and sand. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then aged in tank sur lie for 15 months. It is deep gold in colour with striking, concentrated aromas and flavours of salt, herbs, dried apricots, quince, and touch of smoke. The palate is richly textured and vibrant, an impeccable balance of depth and power with refreshment and zing.
You'll like this if you like... Dry Riesling or Pinot Blanc. Also a good wine for fans of Vinho Verde!
Pairs beautifully with: Feta and broad beans on toast, glass noodles with tofu and coriander, grilled white fish, sushi, or chicken and leek with pasta in a creamy sauce.
