Located just off the Danube River in Southern Hungary, the wines of Szekszgard are almost exclusively made from the gorgeous red variety Kekfrankos. Better known in central Europe as Blaufrankisch, here the variety is matured into a full bodied and richly flavoured wine with notes of deep cherry fruit and refreshing acidity. When you're drinking wine with food, Kekfrankos is almost always a good choice to try.
