Sabar Winery was established in Autumn 2009 by enthusiastic wine lover Gabor Adam. His wines are small production, high quality and great value for money. Adam aims to contribute to the increasingly good reputation of Badacsony wine region in the Lake Balaton area. Due to the volcanic soils and terroir of the region, Adam's wines also have a distinctive minerality and freshness to them. The winery takes its name from the Sabar Hill, the smallest hill in the Balaton-Highlands region, standing just 217m tall near the village of Kaptalantoti.
Adam said: "I found peace of mind here in Sabar hill, I've always wanted in my heart. I would like to give this feeling to those who come here and sit with us under the old walnut tree."
