Beautifully-made Furmint laced with pear, mint and honey notes before a rich, creamy finish.
This is a single vineyard Furmint from winemaker Sarolta Bárdos. Created from the grapes of Barakonyi, which are gently pressed, fermented and then matured for 6 months in 220L oak barrels. Sardos' hand-made wine is a rich example of Furmint with bags of character. Honeyed orchard fruits, fresh mint and a well-integrated flavour of vanilla spice make for a delightfully rounded white wine. Having been grown on heavy clay soils, this is a big Furmint and will stand up with a whole range of food, including an array of mature cheese.
