Polkura Random Unexpected Wine 2017, Chile

Polkura 'Random' is a dry red wine from Valle de Colchagua, Chile. It's a blend of Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon with 14.5% abv. Suitable for Vegans.

Polkura are growers at heart. While they bottle a few varietal Syrah wines every vintage, they mainly sell their fruit to other wineries. However, after seeing the standard of quality of the wines they were marking, they decided to hold back some for themselves. A varying blend every vintage, ‘Random’ was born to blend together all the grapes of the Polkura family vineyard. It is deeply coloured and richly fruity with a delicate oak influence.

Pairs beautifully with: Steak and thick cut chips, lamb casserole, blue cheeseburger, BBQ chicken, grilled aubergine and peppers, or beef wellington.

Cheese pairing: Hard cheese like Comte, Gouda, Gruyere and Cheddar.
