Single varietal Furmint grown on the historic Thurzo vineyard, located on the border of the villages Tokaj and Tarcal. The "honey pot" vineyard, as it's locally known, is a warmer area so you end up with a fuller, richer style of wine. The Thurzo manages to combine being both racy with notes of orange peel and fresh lemon, while also round and complex with notes of peaches, baked apple pie, vanilla and spice. A hint of oak influence gives the wine softness and a long finish. Peter's wines are all about the terroir, focusing on showcasing a style that's unique to the microclimate around Tarcal and Tokaj. The result is an array of characterful wines that are all beautifully made.
