Nerkihue Cabernet is a dry red wine from Valle de Colchagua, Chile. It's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot with 13.0% abv.

Nerkihue (pronounced ne-reh-key-way) is a family winery located in Lolol, Colchagua Valley, on steep slopes and influenced by the marine Pacific. The family have farmed there since 1930, but Loly – the current generation winemaker – focuses on wines with freshness and immediacy. Planted on clay-loam soils, there’s plenty of ripe fruit, but care is taken to concentrate yields with high density planting and careful selection. It’s then fermented in stainless steel before ageing in large, neutral oak for 14 months to round it out. The result is a bright, fresh Cabernet Sauvignon with lots of fruit and herbaceous undertones. Only 2,800 bottles were produced. 

Pairs beautifully with: Fire-cooked lamb, porcini mushrooms cooked with garlic and rosemary, cured meat pizzas, or ribs.
