Mouth-watering Greek white wine with pure tropical and quince flavours.
Monemvasia Tsimbidi Kydonitsa is a dry white wine from Laconia, Greece. It is 100% Kydonitsa with 13.0% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
Enjoy this aromatic and mouth-watering new white wine from the southern Greek region of Laconia. Made from 100% Kydonitsa, a rare local variety in the subregion of Monemvasia, that is carefully selected, destemmed and crushed with only the free run juice used for the final wine. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine spends five months on its lees to develop complexity. Kydonitsa is the Greek word for quince and this wine is true to its name. Flavours of ripe quince and tropical fruits over lean, bittersweet grapefruit acidity, lead to a creamy and long finish.
You'll like this if you like... Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc or Malvasia wines.
Pairs beautifully with: Spinach and Ricotta ravioli pasta, fresh lobster, grilled white fish and spring greens, sage and butter chicken, or cauliflower steaks.
Cheese pairing: Ricotta, Buffalo Mozzarella, goat's cheese or Pecorino.
