Modern style of orange wine with aromatic flavours of apricots and white pear.
Libera Estate Keratsuda Orange is a dry orange wine from the Struma Valley, Bulgaria. It's 100% Keratsuda with 13.0% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
Keratsuda is a rare grape variety often overlooked by wine producers, native to the warm Struma Valley. Libera Estate have chosen to celebrate it in all its glory with this modern style of orange wine, made by resting the wine on its skins for 45 days. The result is a wine golden amber in colour with delicate aromas of pear, apricot and white flowers. The palate is medium bodied and flavoursome with layers of dried stone fruits, juicy white pears and savoury peony notes. The finish is intense, long and rounded. A great example of orange wine that is delicious and not too "funky".
You'll like this if you like... Orange wines from Georgian grapes like Kisi or Rkatsiteli, or skin contact wines made with Chenin Blanc.
Pairs beautifully with: Stir fries with Asian spices and plenty of veg, sticky-glazed pork ribs, roast game, grilled aubergines, or honey and mustard roast chicken.
Cheese pairing: Strong cheese, especially mature Cheddar.
