La Despensa Field Blend is a dry red wine from Valle de Colchagua, Chile. It's a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Marselan with 14.0% abv. Suitable for Vegans. Organic.

La Despensa is a small winery run by English winemaker Matt Ridgway & his wife Ana Cattan, who he met and married after renovating adobe houses in the Colchagua Valley. Matt's love of the Rhone Valley led to this magnificent field blend of traditional Rhone grapes, grown in South American heat, with a dollop of Marselan. It's a deep ruby colour with a mix of plush black fruits, zingy red plum, and warm, toasted spices.  Made with minimal intervention to show off the truest character in each vintage.

You'll like this if you like... Rhone Valley reds, or South African reds from Swartland based on classic Rhone blends.

Pairs beautifully with: Pasta in tomato ragu, shepherd's pie, pan-fried veal, or bean casserole topped with crispy garlic bread.
