Brimming with plums, walnuts and chocolate, this is something deliciously different for the sweet tooth wine lover.
Kracher Beerenauslese Zweigelt is a sweet dessert wine from Burgenland, Austria. It's 100% Zweigelt with 8.0% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
This red wine Beerenauslese was an idea from the acclaimed Alois Kracher, named seven-time 'Winemaker of the Year' by Wine Magazine, who sadly passed in 2017. Current winemaker Gerhard Kracher, who has managed the estate with his father since 2007 and now looks after the winery entirely, has continued to break ground with this unique sweet wine. Fermented and aged in French oak for six months, this sweetie leads with vivid plum tart, maraschino cherry and cinnamon aromas. Tingling, tart, fresh and sweet on the palate it mixes notes of cooked plums, walnuts and chocolate. It's something entirely different from port, but nonetheless deliciously indulgent.
You'll like this if you like... Fruit crumble.
Pairs beautifully with: Rich fruity or chocolate desserts.
Cheese pairing: Ripe, full flavoured Blue cheese.
