Toasty Canadian red wine, full of sweet fruits and spice.

Henry of Pelham Baco Noir is an off-dry red wine from the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. It's 100% Baco Noir with 13.0% abv. Suitable for Vegetarians.

This estate red wine from Henry of Pelham is deep and dark in colour. It leads with sweet aromas of currants and blueberries, following up with a smoky and toasty off-dry palate filled with spice and rich, dark fruits. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and fully macerated on its skins. The wine is then aged in American oak barrels for 6 to 8 months, with nearly a quarter of the blend in new oak. It is bottled with 19.4g/litre sugar, giving it a rounded, lightly sweet tone.

You'll like this if you like... Pinot Noir, Gamay or sweeter red wines.

Food pairing: Barbecued meats, cured meat (especially salami), strawberries rolled in black pepper, hearty Italian cuisine like lasagne, or cheeseburger and chips.

Cheese pairing: Strong cheese, especially extra mature Cheddar or smoked cheese.
