Premiere de Baccari Red is a dry, full-bodied red wine from Meknes, Morocco. It's a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc with 14.5% abv. Suitable for Vegetarians.
Nahla Bahnini and her team's fantastic Domaine de Baccari are based in the region of Meknes, the heart of Morocco's winegrowing culture since the Roman Empire. The estate can be found in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, some 650m above sea level. Planted on fine, red clary and soft limestone undersoil terrain, the vines thrive in a sunny and relatively cooler climate. The resulting wine is overseen by renowned oenologist Stephane Derenoncourt and produces a fresh, balanced and delightfully complex wine. Matured for one year in French oak and then a further year in stainless steel tank. Deep, full ripe fruit and violet aromas over a spicy, supple palate with a long finish. This is an outstanding Moroccan wine!
