Indigenous to the region, the Malvasija variety is booming in Istria, Croatia. Dry in style with a straw-yellow colour, the aromas are refreshing and elegant; think white flowers, ripe grapefruit and salty seas. On the palate it's wonderfully fresh with a long finish and flavours of apple blossom. Complexity comes from maturation on lees in stainless steel vats.
Pairs beautifully with: White fish, oily Mediterranean fish stews, baked poultry, grilled pork, quiche or creamy pasta dishes.
Cheese pairing: Crumbly goat's cheese or soft sheep's milk cheese.
