Chateau Ksara is Lebanon's largest and oldest commercial winery. The 'Le Prieure' bottling is Mediterranean twist on a very French blend, mixing grapes you would traditionally find in blends from the South of France. Instead, in the warm Beqaa Valley, Le Prieure is brightly coloured with a pleasant combination of black and red fruit aromas. It's silky texture comes from the Carignan which had a longer period on its skins. The palate opens with an array of plums, berries, warming spice and liquorice, leading to a charmingly supple finish. Each variety is fermented separately and matured for 14-18 months before being blended together for the final wine.
