Tokajicum is one of the most impressive wineries in Tokaj with some outstanding sweet wines in particular. They are located in the village of Tarcal and manage 20 hectares of vineyards surrounding Tarcal and bordering Mad. The winery was founded in 2002 and features modern wine technology and an expansive cellar. Today the winemaker is László Butella, who has been working in vineyards since he was 16. He has been chief winemaker for Tokajicum for over 3 years and focuses on creating wines that look to the future, while drawing on the values of the past.
