When you’re looking for an easy-going, food-friendly wine, we think that the Thiasos range is charming. The wines are made exclusively for the UK market by wine buyer Steve Daniel and winemaker Yiannis Paraskevopoulos, one of the pioneers of the modern Greek wine revolution.
The grapes for the white and red blend are sourced from Nemea in the northeastern area of the Peloponnese peninsula. To retain their freshness and character, the juice from the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks.
“Thiasos”, the name of the wine range, hails from Greek mythology. Thiasos was the retinue of Dionysos, the Greek god of wine. It consisted of Maenads and Satyrs. The Maenads were mythical nymphs (females) and the Satyrs were half human horse.
