Casa Mariol Vermut Negre is a black vermouth from Terra Alta, Spain. It's 100% Macabeu with 15.0% abv. Suitable for Vegetarians.

Introducing Vermut, as Vermouth is known in Catalunya, from Casa Mariol. This funky black vermouth takes 100% Macabeu fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tank to preserve its fruit character, darkens the colour using unripe walnuts and then macerates the wine in spices and local herbs from the Matarrana area. The blend is finally aged through the traditional solera system using oak barrels for 6 months before the Vermouth is bottled for release. The result is an intensely characterful style with aromas of rosemary, thyme and cinnamon. The palate is full, spicy and finishes with a bittersweet note of candy peel and gentle caramel.

Try as its purest form with a dash of soda water, or if you're a cocktail lover why not try a Blackthorn made with Irish whiskey or a spicy Rob Roy (Scotch Manhattan).

Pairs beautifully with: Black olives, charcuterie, cheeseboard with aged hard cheese, or with a Club Sandwich.
