South Africa

Since 1659, winemaking in South Africa has sprawled out across the Western Cape from its origins in Constantia and is today home to some of the most delicious wines you can buy. There are over 60 appellations in South Africa with Wine of Origin (W.O.) status. We focus on the wines of Babylonstoren Farm from Simonsberg, a 5-star estate headed by cellarmaster Charl Coetzee; the amazing Lismore Estate, Samantha O'Keefe's inspiring venture in Greyton; and Painted Wolf Wines, a social enterprise supporting the conservation of African wild dogs, who source grapes from vineyards in Paarl, Swartland and Stellenbosch.
