Herdade do Rocim is a 120 hectare estate made of vineyards and olive trees in between Vidigueira and Cuba in Alentejo. The estate are pioneers of amphora wines, whereby they vinify their wines in pots known as Tahla. All the vines are cultivated by hand and they practice minimal intervention in the cellar to ensure the final style of their wines is a pure, mineral impression of the Alentejo region. The wines are made by Pedro Ribeiro & Catarina Vieira. The winery is associated with the Sustainable Program of the Alentejo
Viticulture and uses organically-grown grapes (although the estate and cellar itself is not yet certified organic). In 2018, Herdade do Rocim was awarded Best Wine Producer by Revista de Vinhos.
