Bolyki "Bull's Blood" Bikaver 2016, Hungary
A classic blend from Eger-based winemaker Janos Bolyki. Charged with deep black cherry fruit, blackberries and good acidity, this Bikaver is deeply coloured and a great match with food. Fermented and aged in 500 litre oak barrels.
Pairs beautifully with: Lasagne, lamb ragu, spicy goulash or sirloin steak.
Cheese pairing: Romano Italian sheep's cheese, or try with White Nancy goat's cheese.
