Crimson red wine with flavours of Victoria plum and cinnamon spice.
Aldwick Estate Regent is a dry red wine from Somerset, England. It's 100% Regent with 11.5% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
The 790 Regent vines on Aldwick Estate, located in the gorgeous Mendips just south of Bristol, are planted on four irregular blocks on the borders of the Woodlands vineyard. The team's will and desire to produce exceptional English red wine meant that the Regent, likely an impromptu decision when Woodlands was planted in 2010, now makes this delicious and rewarding varietal red. The cool climate keeps it light-medium bodied and crisp, while the grape's style adds flavours of juicy plums, cherries and winter spice.
You'll like this if you like... Austrian Zweigelt, Italian un-oaked Sangiovese, or light Loire-style Cabernet Franc.
Food pairing: Falafel burgers, pulled pork, oxtail ragu, fried garlic and chestnut mushrooms on toast or cured meats.
Cheese pairing: Sheep's milk cheese.
