Dugladze

Georgia has been making wine for thousands of years and is sometimes referred to as 'The Cradle of Wine'. This ancient culture of winemaking is the setting for Dugladze family's estate, where they have been making wines and spirits since 1904. Today they boast one of the most advanced wineries in Georgia, mixing modern precision with ancient techniques to create a range of truly world class, characterful wines. Dugladze's top wines are made in the ancient Qvevri method, whereby wines are fermented with skins, stems and all in giant clay jars, often buried in soil, where they are left for months or, in some cases, years. This creates still wines with depth, tannin and reduces the need for added sulfur.;
