Citrussy, fruity and complex English white wine blend from Hampshire.
Danebury Vineyards Reserve is a dry white wine from Hampshire, England. It's a blend of Madeleine Angevine, Schonburger, Auxerrois & Pinot Gris with 11.5% abv. Suitable for Vegans.
Gold, SWA. This crisp and fresh English white wine combines the fruity, floral character of Madeleine Angevine, the acidity and freshness of Schonburger, the mouth-filling structure of Auxerrois, and the juiciness of Pinot Gris. Mineral and fresh on the finish, this quality wine reflects its south-facing chalk and flint-stone soils where Danebury’s private vineyard is planted. Their first vines were planted in 1988 and the quality of the wine is getting better with every year. Expect a saline, complex palate with a fruit salad of orchard apples and pears, lime zest, apricot and pithy lemon. Lots going on for the price!
You'll like this if you like... Pinot Blanc, Chenin Blanc or Chablis-style Chardonnays.
Pairs beautifully with: Oily fish like salmon, salty bar snacks, seared scallops, delicate summer stir fries, or try with chicken goujons.
Cheese pairing: Pennard Vale goat's cheese, or semi-hard sheep's cheese.
