Castro Distillery
Castro Distillery is one of Greece's most well-known distilleries, based in Patra at the top of the Peloponnese in Greece. The family owners can trace their roots to the island of Chios, famed for its production of mastic (resin used in winemaking), and it was there that Georgios Chachalis refined the art of ouzo and liqueur production in the 19th century. The business moved to Patra in 1939 and is famous for its liqueurs, dessert wines, and sweets.
