Bodegas Vinatigo

The journey for the Bodegas Vinatigo winery began in the 1990s as the owners looked to revive and pioneer the different grape varieties indigenous to the Canary Islands. It began with their century old site in the village of La Guancha, north Tenerife, where the varieties Listan Blanco and Listan Negro were made into wines in the old family winery.

Focusing on quality, the winemaking project now includes unique varieties such as Gual, Vijariego and Marmajuelo. The ethos is to both promote these styles and be respectful of the environment through the implementation of sustainable vine growing and the construction of a state of the art winery in 1997, which was designed to minimise energy consumption.
